I Sent My Editor the Wrong Manuscript: An Exotic Romance Novel

I’ve been a writer for many years, and I’ve made a lot of mistakes. But one of the biggest mistakes I ever made was sending my editor the wrong manuscript.

I was working on an exotic romance novel for a friend, and I accidentally sent it to my editor instead of the manuscript I was working on for my own book. My editor was expecting one of my normal stories, and she was not happy when she got the romance novel.

She wrote me back an email that said, “What the hell is this? You’ve lost your mind.”

I was so embarrassed. I apologized profusely and explained what had happened. My editor eventually forgave me, but she said that I had almost made her quit her job.

We laughed about it after I figured out what had happened, but the phone conversation was quite interesting.

I was so embarrassed. I couldn’t believe I had made such a mistake. I apologized to my friend, and she was understanding. She said that she had done the same thing before and that it was no big deal.

I’m glad that she forgave me, and I’m glad that we were able to laugh about it. But I’ll never forget the time I sent the wrong manuscript to the wrong person, and oh, was it the wrong person.

The “romance” (and I use that word lightly) novel was about a woman who fell in love with a man from a different culture. They had to overcome many obstacles, but they eventually found their “happy ending,” if you know what I mean.
