AI Demystified: The Truth Behind the Boogie Man Hype:

Have you heard of the Boogie Man? You know, the big bad boogie man? Yes, you have; everyone has. It's all over the news. I'm talking about AI, artificial intelligence. However, that is a misnomer because it isn't actually intelligence. No, it's not intelligent at all; AI is simply a tool. So, what is it, and why is everyone so scared of it?

In this article, I'll be delving deeper into the world of mystery—or, more precisely, into the realm of tech tools. Cloaked as AI, BOOOOOOO!

In short, AI, or artificial intelligence, is like having a super-smart buddy in the digital world. It's a set of advanced computer programs designed to learn from data, recognize patterns, and make predictions. Just like we learn from our experiences, AI algorithms learn from the information they're fed. This enables them to perform tasks, solve problems, and even mimic human-like behavior in some instances. (This information is based on various reliable sources, including tech industry publications, academic research papers, and expert opinions from AI researchers.)

Or, if that's too much wording, AI is simply human programming. It's a tool that uses a set of microchips to run and predict what the next word will be.

Let me paint you a picture. Imagine strolling down the street, and a pink car zooms by. Now, what's the likeliest scenario? Well, since it's pink, we might assume a woman is behind the wheel. Maybe she has blonde hair, and since she's a woman, she might be wearing a dress. Our brains naturally make these assumptions based on patterns we've observed. That's predictability at work—a bit of intuition guiding our judgments.

AI operates similarly but on a grander scale. It uses the same principles, but instead of making assumptions, it assigns a percentage value to each word or scenario. Let's take the example of the sentence about the car. If the AI thinks it's likely that a woman is driving because the car is pink, it assigns a higher percentage to that prediction. The same goes for predicting whether she's wearing a dress – it'll attach another percentage. The higher the percentage, the more likely the AI believes the prediction to be correct. Ultimately, our AI friend chooses the words or scenarios with the highest probability, aiming for the most probable outcome based on the data it has learned.

So you see, AI isn't true intelligence; it's more like a clever guesser. That's why it can sometimes go off the rails. You ask a straightforward question, and it responds with something completely unrelated or irrelevant to your original question. And you know what? Sometimes that can be pretty fun!

So, why do people tremble at the thought of the dreaded AI monster? It's very simple – they're hypocrites. Now, hold on, let me explain what I mean by that.

For years, robots have been snatching blue-collar jobs by the millions. Businesses and industries, big and small, have embraced various forms of technology in the name of progress, replacing human workers. From massive robotic welders to something as seemingly harmless as a simple barcode, technology has been the agent of change. Sadly, countless hardworking individuals have seen their livelihoods laid to waste by this so-called "progress" in the form of 'advancing technology.'

But you know what's interesting? Many of those folks who are now freaking out about the so-called 'AI Armageddon,' were just chilling in the background before. They only cared about getting cheaper cars, hotter coffee, and two-day deliveries. They never thought twice about the countless lives disrupted by this consumer frenzy. They turned a blind eye to our hardworking, blue-collar brothers and sisters, losing their jobs to machines.

But guess what? The tables have turned, and now these same people are feeling the heat. AI's predictions can quickly take over those mundane tasks these hypocritical snobs hold as 'Jobs.' Suddenly, the 'big shots' are worried about their own positions. That's why everyone's talking about the boogie man called AI.

So, next time you hear someone spooked by AI, just remember Skynet is far from real, and their fears might be more fiction than fact—perhaps stemming from the concern of losing their plush, unnecessary positions to AI in the future."
